Every year, I go on a motorcycle in Argentina accompanied by other biker friends. I reached Ushuaia by motorbike on Route 3 and I visited Mendoza and San Juan in the same way. Why do we visit Mendoza and San Juan in particular? The anecdote is that in Brazil, it is not customary to drink wine with meals, but beer. It happens that on Friday night, after the homeopathy course, with my teacher Angel Minotti and a group of students, we dine together in a nearby restaurant. Ten years ago, Dr. Minotti (he had a wine shop at one time), brought a wine from Mendoza from Argentina, asked the waiter for beautiful wine glbades and gave us a small workshop on the way to drink it, starting by throwing the bottles no c the type of glbad to use and continuing to observe the color of the wine on the white background to know its age, the oxygenation of the liquid and finally, the tasting , taking some cheese beforehand to wake the taste buds.

But what is amazing is that over time, a kind of competition developed to know who brought the most tasty wine (at the restaurant, we will allow ourselves to bring the wine) and each carries a bottle, usually, from Portugal, Spain or France. , Italy and still win the Argentine wine. This year, the invitation to participate in Rio Hondo for an annual and global rally of bikers has appeared. The idea excited me to the point of inviting an old friend who lives in the United States for years. After a very detailed planning, we decided to realize the longing desire of many years to participate in the world motorcycle event held in Rio Hondo, Argentina. Over time, I bought and changed several bikes until the one I currently own (more expensive than a car), a BMW GS 1200, model 2018. My friend Ajax Bezerra de Melo , has a BMW GS 800, model 2013. Our expectations were the most exciting of the trips we had made in Argentina, where we had always decided to come back, because we had a great stay in every aspect. But we never imagined the surprise awaiting us at Rio Hondo, which may have been the happiest event of my life.

The adventure started like this. On March 26, 2019, we drove to San Pablo on a motorcycle, with a friend who lives in the United States, heading for Rio Hondo, Argentina, where the World Motorcycling Meeting is held each year. The worry has invaded us. As with any motorcycle trip where you have little time to travel long distances, we had to start very early at 6:30 in the morning because the kilometers to go are around 700 to 800 per day. The first stage went from Baurú to Foz de Iguazú (817 km) and the second stage from Foz de Iguazú to Resistencia, Argentina (648 km). On the third day, I went to Quimilí. Many people on the streets and roads made gestures that we did not understand at first, but we realized that we were welcomed. Arriving at the Quimilí border, a police officer cordially asked us to slow down, because the people gathered in front of us wanted to take pictures with us. People approached us and gently hugged us and took hundreds of photos. We feel "PopStars" in Argentina. It was very moving.

After a trip to Juan Felipe Ibarra, at a petrol station, we met a large number of children who, very respectfully and politely, approached our bikes to ask us to sign autographs in their notebooks and in their own. arms and body. I admit that it was one of the greatest joys of my life to see educated, loving and healthy children welcome us. In my country, we would have stolen all motorcycle accessories. Río Hondo, a small town but with a big heart. Thousands of motorcycles have lived peacefully in this city without any problem. In my country, there is no track for motorcycles such as Rio Hondo or the safety and warmth of this city. The police guided us on our roads with a kindness that moved me. The Argentine roads were beautiful and in excellent condition.

During these few days, we appreciate the hospitality, the gastronomy and the wonderful wines of the country blessed by the Argentineans. Next year, I will be back in Rio Hondo, because a happy heart never forgets.
