National Meteorological Service (NMS), it is estimated that the temperature will increase by two degrees per day, starting with a maximum temperature of 33 ° C today and peaking at 39 ° C on Thursday.

It is defined as a "heat wave" over a period during which the maximum and minimum temperatures are equal to or greater than certain thresholds, for at least 3 consecutive days and simultaneously. In the case of the port city, this occurs when temperatures exceed 32.3 ° maximum and 22 ° minimum.

Yellow alert

A yellow alert has been activated at the agency so that "the population protection organizations and the civil protection organizations can take the appropriate preventive, attentive and corrective measures for each level of alert ".

Among the recommendations of the authorities, it is advisable to increase the consumption of liquids, without waiting to be thirsty, not to be too exposed to the sun and especially during the hottest hours (11am at 17h), by eating vegetables and fruits avoiding overeating and avoid alcoholic or very sweet drinks, reduce physical activity, wear light clothes, loose clothing and light colors and stay in spaces ventilated or conditioned.
