This Sunday, a situation was recorded in Jamundí which adds to one of the many clashes that have taken place in recent days in Valle del Cauca. Although it was said that civilians attacked the indigenous Minga, this news was denied by the citizens themselves, who, with videos, showed that they had been attacked.

In the videos shared on the networks, it is evident that indigenous peoples have overturned and burned community trucks, they are attacking vehicles, residences and residents of the area. This information was confirmed by the police.

This is how several of the vehicles vandalized by the natives were left, as they crossed Cañasgordas Avenue, south of Cali, during the riots that took place this Sunday afternoon.

In one post, it is also seen that a goat made up of a group of natives intends to move towards the city, however, several citizens seek to avoid its passage. Among them, a woman who is standing in front of the goat and who, as the video shows, was attacked by the community to continue on her path.

However, videos have also been released showing civilians attacking indigenous peoples. Due to the absence of public forces during most of the clashes, the citizens seized the power to defend themselves with weapons. There is even a video recorded by one of the same civilians shouting “this is a civil war” before firing.

In one video, you can see how men dressed in white point and shoot at people who were in an area of ​​town demonstrating peacefully. Even one of the attackers pulls out his gun and fires in the presence of a policeman, who tries to protect him.

Another image circulating shows how two armed men behind a white truck and with a pistol, before shooting the natives.

In the following video, a man is seen pointing a finger at a Native Guard truck and shooting at the demonstrators, while the recording woman shouts “Vayansén (sic) indios” and applauds the attack.

For her part, Health Secretary Miyerlandi Torres said that after the clashes eight locals were injured, three of them seriously ill.

The mayor of Cali, Jorge Iván Ospina, has rejected the actions carried out by the indigenous communities of this city, while demanding compliance with regulations and local authorities.

“In Cali, those who are not part of Cali should not send. There should be no pretext for people outside our city to perform the functions that are performed in our city.Said the president.

He added that “in Cali everyone is welcome and welcome. In our beloved territory, beloved Cali, we are proud to have Nariñenses, Caucanos, Antioqueños, to have people from Huila, from the Pacific, to have people from all parts of the universe ” .
