The entities that deal with the issue have organized several activities and also called to join the hashtag # we are talking about autism #diamundialautismo # 2A #seamableconelautismo on social networks.
The Argentine Program for Children, Adolescents and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Panaacea) has prepared the “Vivo Azul” program, via YouTube, to report “on the different stages in the life of people with autism and provide tools to overcome obstacles to achieve a more inclusive world. “
Along with other organizations that make up the Autism Spectrum Network (RedEA), Panaacea has also invited to participate in the “Blue Caravan” which will take place at 4:00 pm in Plaza de Mayo and at the “Blue Walk” tomorrow Saturday at 6: 12:00 am at Centenario Park, in the city of Buenos Aires.
Another of the autism awareness actions will be carried out this weekend by the first division teams of Argentinian football and the Argentinian Cup, since the captains will go to the field with one in which is written the sentence ” Let’s talk about autism “.
Before the start of the games, all players will gather in the central circle for a minute of silence covering their ears, a gesture that represents the auditory hypersensitivity of many people with autism.
Panaacea is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 whose mission is to improve the quality of life of people with autism and their families through intervention, training, research, awareness and advocacy on public policies.
The co-founder of the entity, Alexia Rattazzi, explained that, according to an American study, the conditions of the autism spectrum (AEC) affect 1 in 54 children and pointed out that on average, 2 years pass among the first concerns of the parents and autism diagnosis.
Thus, he explained that “there are very simple ways to follow the development of boys and girls”, and detailed that “a particularly valuable tool is the Follow the Development app, which is downloaded for free on the phone. , and allows you to know if a son or a daughter presents warning signs “and recalls that on the Panaacea site” there are questionnaires which make it possible to identify early indicators of autism at 9, 18 and 30 months ” .
For its part, the Brincar Por Un Autismo Feliz Foundation, in collaboration with the advertising agency Paola Latina, has launched the #RompamosLosMitosDelAutismo campaign. The campaign will last throughout the month of April and will have the participation of personalities from the artistic world, sports and also autistic family and friends.
