Kan-Hua Ren, known by his pseudonym ReSet, was sentenced in first instance by a Barcelona court to a fifteen-month prison term, to a ban on use of his Youtube channel for five years and compensation of 20,000 euros for his victim.

The court awarded ReSet, then 19, a "crime against moral integrity" for the video released in January 2017 and later withdrawn.

"Challenged" by one of its supporters, the youtuber was registered by removing the cream of some famous brand-name biscuits, putting toothpaste in its place, then "offering" it to a beggar next to a ticket of 20 euros.

The victim vomited a lot, the judge said in his May 29 ruling.

Before the scandal caused by the recording, he published another where he returned to see the homeless to give 20 euros extra.

According to the police, ReSet, who was at the time one of the 200 most influential "youtubers" in the Spanish-speaking world, tried to prevent his victim from denouncing him with 300 euros and a new video where he would spend the night with him.

The police, on the other hand, revealed that he had made fun of more vulnerable people in other publications in his chain, which had given him advertising advantages.
