Ariana Grande joins YouTube for new docuseries

Ariana Grande launches a new docuserie exclusively on YouTube, it was announced Wednesday.

The four-part edition of the original on YouTube titled "Ariana Grande: Journal of Dangerous Women" will provide fans with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the singer's career, including the making of her latest album, "Sweetener ", and an unpublished video of his Dangerous Woman tour.

Despite her regular presence in the limelight, Grande's personal life, including her recent relationship with Pete Davidson of "Saturday Night Live" and the passing of her former boyfriend Mac Miller – will not play an important role in the series. Instead, the show will focus on her professional life between the time of her 2017 Dangerous Woman tour and the creation of "Sweetener".

New episodes of "Ariana Grande: Dangerous Women's Newspaper" will be made available free of charge on Grande's YouTube channel, with the first episode scheduled to debut November 29th and the other three being released every Thursday. If fans want to watch the entire series at once, they can sign up for YouTube Premium, the $ 12 monthly music and video service from Google.

The new docs are part of YouTube's recent push for ad-supported content. As a general rule, YouTube's original content was hosted behind a paid wall, but the company has recently started to make more of its content available for free by supporting programming with ads. Adding to this effort, the video service announced yesterday that all of its Originals produced in 2020 and beyond would have an advertising-funded window, allowing all YouTube users to watch the content for free.
