Arizona certified the presidential election results on Monday, delivering another victory for President-elect Joe Biden despite efforts by President Donald Trump’s allies to reverse the race result.

The Grand Canyon State’s certification will give 11 Electoral College votes to Biden, who is expected to win 306 such votes nationwide, compared to Trump’s 232.

Before signing the canvas documents certifying the election, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, Democrat, praised her state for conducting “easily the easiest” and “safest elections in history. recent ”even in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

“Despite the unprecedented challenges, the Arizonans have come forward for our democracy,” Hobbs said.

She also took a look at the wave of widespread fraud allegations being spread by Trump and some of his surrogates.

“This election was conducted with transparency, accuracy and fairness in accordance with Arizona electoral laws and procedures, despite numerous unsubstantiated claims to the contrary,” said Hobbs.

Governor Doug Ducey, a Republican, also praised his state’s handling of the election.

“The system is solid which is why I bragged so much,” Ducey said. “This is America, and no voter should be deprived of their rights,” Ducey said.

“The votes have been compiled, the 15 counties have all certified their results,” he added.

The certification was conducted at the same time members of Trump’s legal team, led by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, alleged a series of unproven voter fraud conspiracies at a hearing in Phoenix .

Giuliani, who has been implicated in multiple unsuccessful attempts to overturn Swing States election results in court, urged Republican state lawmakers at the hearing to challenge Biden’s popular vote victory and select voters pro-Trump.

“What’s the right count, or how can we get as close as possible to the right count? If we can, have the courage to choose that person to get the voters, because that person won the honest vote,” said Giuliani.

“In history, I swear to God you will be heroes,” Giuliani told GOP officials at the hearing. “If you can’t make a decision, then don’t certify.”
