MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – Oregon authorities have arrested a man following the death of an original member of Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club" club.

Oregon State Police said that Daniel James Burda, 36, was arrested Friday for manslaughter, criminal negligence homicide, assault on a corpse, ill-treatment and maltreatment. identity theft following the death of Dennis Day.

It is not known if Burda has a lawyer.

Day's husband, Ernie Caswell, first reported his disappearance almost a year ago while he was in hospital with a loss of memory.

Day's body was later found at their home in Phoenix, Oregon, in April after an investigation into a missing person that had lasted for several months.

Neighbors say Burda had lived with the elderly couple in their home in southern Oregon, working as a jack of all trades.

Day was one of the founding members of the Mickey Mouse Club for two seasons in the 1950s.
