Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta continues to revise his squad as he continues to sack the Gunners in the Premier League table.

The Gunners are now within easy reach of qualifying places for the Europa League after three straight wins against West Brom, Chelsea and Brighton.

Mesut Ozil is reportedly in line to follow Sead Kolasnic through the exit door, with the German playmaker in talks with a move to Fenerbahce.

There is still a need for reinforcements as Arteta looks to imprint his vision on the squad now that the January transfer window has started, but it remains to be seen where the Spaniard will turn for now.

Here is the latest news on Arsenal transfers.

The exit of Mesut Ozil in Fenerbache is getting closer and closer

Mesut Ozil’s agent admitted that he and his client had started to consider leaving the club.

Reports in Turkey have claimed that the 32-year-old is set to join Fenerbahce on a three-year deal, which Dr Erkut Sogut has neither confirmed nor denied.

“We weren’t allowed to speak legally until Jan. 1, so now we’re just starting to look at options with the numbers and details,” Sogut told ESPN on Wednesday.

Ozil is set to leave Arsenal for free when his contract expires this summer, but could still leave this month if he is able to make a move that works for all parties.

Gunners give Liverpool Folarin Balogun a boost

Folarin Balogun could be ready to move to Liverpool

Liverpool could be in line for a surprise deal to sign Folarin Balogun for free from Arsenal.

Arteta wants to offload players in January, and The Independent claim Balogun was deemed to be surplus to requirement – along with eight other players.

This update will be good news for the Premier League champions, with the teenager big admirers of Liverpool.

With his contract coming to the end of the season, Balogun has the right to talk to foreign clubs about a future free transfer and even to sign a pre-contract agreement.

But if Liverpool want it, they will either have to accept a fee with Arsenal to take him now, or risk waiting until summer hoping he is still available.

Daka feeds the transfer links with the claim

Patson Daka claims he wants to emulate some of the Premier League’s biggest stars

RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka claims he will continue to emulate Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Liverpool stars Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Daka, 22, is a target for some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United all supposed to keep an eye on the center-forward.

And he could be in line for a transfer to an English club after insisting he aims to match African talent currently on display in the top flight.

“Seeing our big brothers like Aubameyang, Salah, Mane is something that gives me the dream that I can do it too,” Daka told BBC Sport.

“I can be like them. They are my inspiration, knowing that they also come from Africa.

“I think when people make those kinds of comparisons it’s great, looking at Sadio Mane’s status, the kind of football he plays and the kind of person he is.”
