Mesut Ozil has landed in Istanbul as he prepares to complete his move to Fenerbahce, ending a seven-and-a-half-year spell with Arsenal.
The German playmaker will soon undergo a medical examination and told Turkish channel NTV: “I am so happy. I am a fan of Fenerbahce. God wanted me to play football in Fenerbahce. I am proud.
“I am coming with my family to Istanbul tonight, thank God for giving me the opportunity to represent this club. I will wear the jersey with pride.”

Arsenal are watching Brentford striker Ivan Toney for a move to a future window, reports the Daily Express .
Toney, 24, has had a superb first half of the season with 16 goals and four assists in 22 league games.
He is under contract with the Bees until 2025 after joining Peterborough for an initial £ 5million last summer.

Barca reject Neto’s transfer request

Ronald Koeman has said Barcelona have rejected a transfer request submitted by the club’s No.2 goalkeeper Neto.
The Brazilian shooter is excited for a new challenge after a year and a half of replacing first choice Marc-André ter Stegen.
Neto has been linked with Arsenal as they travel across Europe in search of a goalkeeper to compete with Bernd Leno, but Koeman insists the 31-year-old is too important to leave Camp Nou.
Barca boss said: “It is true that his representative has asked for an exit at the club and we said no because he is an important keeper for us and we want to be very well covered in every position.”

Villas-Boas admits his interest in Sanson

Marseille boss Andre Villas-Boas confirmed the interest of Premier League clubs in midfielder Morgan Sanson.
Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham and Aston Villa are all reportedly interested in Sanson, who has five goals in 11 Ligue 1 games this season.
“We’ll see. The transfer window is open, Sanson is a highly rated player. Officially, we haven’t received any offers, unless it happened during the game,” Villas-Boas said.
“He is a boy who interests England teams because of his characteristics, and it is possible that something will happen.”
