Officials said that an object that had immobilized a plane at Newark Liberty International Airport was not suspicious.
The port authority police said that a flight attendant of an aircraft had identified the article in the cabin Saturday morning. It was not quite clear what the product was.
It was found on JetBlue flight 573 to Tampa and was originally deemed suspect by the authorities.
A K-9 team was dispatched to search the plane and 150 passengers were evacuated and brought back to the terminal.
The flight has since taken off and landed in Tampa safely.
