Ashley Judd talks about her recent accident.
Last week, the 52-year-old actress revealed during an Instagram Live session that she was hospitalized after suffering “enormous catastrophic injuries” after tripping over a fallen tree in the Congo region of Africa.
Now, she has shared photos of her rescue on Instagram, which were taken after she seriously injured her leg. In her post, Judd included photos of herself being transported in a hammock through the forest before taking off on the back of a bicycle for treatment.
The post also included a photo of the actress lying on the floor with a brace on her injured leg, as well as some snaps of her Congolese friends.

“Friends. Without my Congolese brothers and sisters, my internal bleeding would probably have killed me and I would have lost my leg”, she began in the long legend. “I wake up crying in gratitude, deeply touched by each person who has brought something invigorating and salvaging during my grueling 55 hour odyssey.

The star explained that she broke her leg in four places and suffered nerve damage. She also said that her friend Dieumerci sat with her on the forest floor for five hours, preventing her “grossly deformed left leg” from moving by supporting it with his own leg.
Judd referred to Dieumerci as a “witness” who was with her during her “primal pain.”
She then called back another man, Papa Jean, who had arrived to reset his leg after searching for her for five more hours.
“He told me what to do. I bit a stick. I clung to Maud. And Papa Jean, for sure, started to manipulate and readjust my broken bones into something like a position. in which I could be carried, while I screamed and twisted, “recalled the” De-Lovely “actress. “How he did it so methodically when I was like an animal is beyond me. He saved me. And he had to do this twice!”

Six men then placed the injured star in a hammock and “walked for 3 hours over rough terrain” to carry her out of the area.
Then Judd yelled at Didier, who drove the motorbike she rode to safety, supporting it against her back and preventing it from collapsing and falling. She also had another friend, Maradona, who held her during the ride.
“He held my broken leg under the heel and I held the broken upper part with both hands,” she explained. “Together we did this for 6 hours on an irregular, ornate and pockmarked dirt road that has gullies for the rain flowing during the rainy season.

The star said she had developed a “beautiful friendship” with Maradona and discussed a lot, the pros and cons of monogamy and polygamy among them.

Judd then gave a final cry, “The women! My sisters who have held me back. They have blessed me.”
Yahoo! Entertainment reports that the “Double Jeopardy” actress travels to Congo about twice a year because her “life partner” runs a research camp there. In the United States, it is known for backcountry camping.

According to the outlet, she is bedridden for at least the rest of the week as she recovers from having rods attached to her leg.
Judd said she will “walk again” but has no “time frame” to recover.
