Former WWE superstar Ashley Massaro – who later competed on "Survivor & # 39; – is dead, TMZ Sports has learned. She was only 39 years old.
Authorities tell us that Massaro was transported from her home in Suffolk County, New York, to a nearby hospital where she died early Thursday morning.
Officials would not reveal the cause of death at this point, but we are told that this is being classified as "not criminal".
Massaro won the WWE 2005 Raw Diva Search Award, which included a $ 250,000 one-year contract.
She then became a valet for the WWE Team Champions. Paul London and Brian Kendrick.
His most prominent matches, including a WWE Women's Championship title, against Melina at Wrestlemania 23 in 2007 … and a Playboy BunnyMania LumberJill match at Wrestlemania 24 the following year.
Massaro appeared on "Survivor: China" in 2007 – but she was voted for the second episode of this series.
She also appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine from April 2007, which she revealed during an episode of "Smackdown".
She then broke off ties with WWE in 2008. She then returned for a trip to a less-known professional wrestling company in 2017.
"We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE superstar, Ashley Massaro," said WWE in a statement.
"She played at the WWE from 2005 to 2008 and was loved by fellow superstars and fans around the world, and WWE extends her condolences to Ashley's family and friends."
