Ashton Kutcher is helping set the record straight on Tanya Roberts.
Kutcher, 42, has informed some of his’ That ’70s Show’ co-stars that Roberts, 65, is still alive despite her publicist initially claiming she is dead.
Actor Topher Grace, who played Eric Forman on the hit series, mourned the loss of the former Bond girl in an emotional tribute, only to receive the good news from Kutcher soon after.
“I was so sad to learn that Tanya Roberts has passed away. She was a Bond girl, one of Charlie’s angels, and really a lovely person to work with, “wrote Grace, 42.” I had never played before and to be honest a little nervous with her. . But she couldn’t have been nicer. We will miss you Midge.
Kutcher replied, “Yo bro, she’s not dead.”
Co-star Debra Jo Rupp, who played Kitty Forman on the show, also tweeted an emotional tribute to Roberts.
“Tanya had a big, deep, warm laugh. She was all instinct and beauty. In the ’70s season premiere, we had a scene in the kitchen, drinking cocktails and laughing together, ”Rupp wrote. “She laughed, spat her glass in my face, apologized profusely and did it 3 more times. I loved it. RIP beauty. “
Rather succinctly, Kutcher responded, “Dj she’s still alive.”
Roberts’ publicist Mike Pingel falsely announced that the 65-year-old actress died after misunderstanding a story from her longtime partner Lance O’Brien.
O’Brien told the Post he had a ‘slobbery’ conversation with Pingel in which he told the longtime publicist he had to ‘say goodbye’ to Roberts after being told she would not survive . The conversation prompted Pingel to release the statement of his death, even though it turned out to be a misunderstanding.
O’Brien received a phone call from the hospital on Monday morning telling her she was still alive.
“For all intents and purposes, she was gone,” O’Brien said. “She hasn’t had any for the past three days.
She had been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles since December 24 after collapsing at home.
Doctors have since removed her from the respiratory system and told O’Brien there was no chance she would survive.
