SACRAMENTO, Calif. – MMA Junkie was on hand and broadcast live the official UFC Friday on the ESPN + 13 hunter weigh-in.
The first weighings took place at the UFC host hotel and preceded the ceremonial weighings for fans, which take place at 7 pm. AND at the Golden1 Center in Sacramento. The same venue hosts the Saturday event, which airs on ESPN +.
Germaine de Randamie (8-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC), former featherweight champion, and Aspen Ladd (8-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), mid-bantamweight, competed to play the main title. Urijah Faber, a member of the UFC Hall of Fame, also participated in her return fight.
The 24 fighters all gained weight, although Ladd's weighing was a frightening scene as she was visibly in a bad position and was on the scale.
