Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond has unveiled the first game from her new studio, Haven, which has aligned exclusively with PlayStation. The game certainly has some very lofty goals, including potentially being a “terabyte” game, which means it might require extensive streaming to supplement native files.
In an interview with GI.biz, Raymond spoke at a high level about Haven’s ambitions for her first game, which is new IP, and she also explained why aligning with Sony was the right fit.
Raymond said Haven’s first game would be “really ambitious” and show what the PS5 is capable of. Haven’s first game is new intellectual property, and Raymond said the goal is to create a world that can “last for generations and become meaningful to people on a deeper level.”

In terms of signing up with PlayStation for Haven’s first game, Raymond said Sony stood out as a company that “really understands the creative process.” She also mentioned how Sony is known for empowering its game studios, which was a “big attractor”.
