Assassin’s Creed Valhalla adds new abilities if you disconnect from the internet

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players spotted several new abilities in the game’s Bear, Raven, and Wolf skill trees a few weeks ago, which then quickly vanished. The first node allowed players to “let fate guide your way” and automatically award skill points in empty slots.

The other nodes revealed new abilities that players could acquire: The Raven Tree added the Assassin Carry ability, a skill that allows you to automatically pick up a body after performing an assassination.

The Bear Tree has added Fight Ready, which guarantees full adrenaline at the start of a fight and the new Arrow skill of the Wolf Tree increases your chances of finding additional arrow ammo on the bodies of enemy archers dead. None of these new abilities were mentioned in the patch notes for the December update, and some players have said they saw them for a while before they disappeared.

These capabilities can be viewed on the console, provided you disconnect your device from the internet. When asked about their existence by Kotaku, Ubisoft said the skills are “not yet ready for release” and recommended that players stick to online play if possible to “avoid gameplay issues.”

As the Assassin Creed Valhalla Christmas Festival wraps up on January 7, more content is still on the way. Two expansions will take Eivor to new places, as Wrath of the Druids will see the Viking warrior explore a more mystical side of Ireland when he arrives in the spring. The Siege of Paris will put an Assassin’s Creed version on the second Viking siege of the French town which was under the control of Charles the Fat at the time, and is currently slated for a summer release.
