In November, Google Assistant was integrated with third-party fitness trackers to natively inform you about your activity. While the functionality was limited to standby data and exclusive to Fitbit devices, Google is expanding it to smart displays, which can now proactively display this information.

In the Wellness section of the app, there is now a new option to enable “Proactive Health and Fitness Results” on your smart screens, which basically means your devices will display wellness data. be when they are inactive, allowing you – and potentially other household members – to check on them. in one look.

Even though the feature appears to be compatible with Nest Hubs, Nest Hub Maxes, and Lenovo Smart Clocks, we were unable to get them to show our fitness data, even after enabling the option in the settings of the assistant. In addition to sleep tracking, we hope Google will support other fitness data soon, as well as other providers. This new feature could also be a way for Google to use data from its new Soli “Interactive Device” sensor, which may be able to track your sleep without the need for another device.
