ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 with Next Generation AMD Ryzen Mobile

At the new digital CES 2021 event, ASUS lifted the veil on its new updated Zephyrus G15. Designed for gaming, the ROG Zephyrus G15 comes in multiple configurations, featuring a 15.6-inch display with 1080p 144Hz or 1440p 165Hz IPS panel, AMD’s next-generation Ryzen mobile processor.

ASUS has updated the ROG Zephyrus G15 with a few notable features including a new 90Wh battery with a 200W AC charger. However, it can be used with its 100W Type-C charging adapter, available separately. ASUS announces an autonomy of 10 hours. In terms of size, the ROG Zephrus is 19.9mm deep and weighs just 1.9kg, which is quite svelte for a gaming laptop.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus can be used with up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 SDAM, with upcoming next-generation Ryzen Mobile processors from AMD and next-generation RTX mobile graphics from NVIDIA. Storage options include a 512GB PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 or 1TB NVMe drive, with a choice of 1080p 144Hz or 1440p 165Hz IPS with 100% DCIP-3 color reproduction and up to 400 nits brightness.

There are many connections, including two USB 3.2 G2 Type-C, two USB 3.2 G1 Type-A, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0b video output coupling, as well as a single 3.5mm combo port and an RJ45 port. with an unspecified network controller. ASUS does, however, include a Wi-Fi 6 compatible interface with support for BT 5.0 devices. The G15 features a trio of microphones with three modes (cardioid, omni, and stereo), six built-in speakers, with a touchpad 20% larger than the Zephyrus 2020 G15 model.

ASUS hasn’t said when it intends to release the 2021 ROG Zephyrus G15 model, but that will likely coincide with an AMD announcement on its Ryzen 5000 H mobile processors. The ROG Zephyrus G15 will also be available in two different colors, Eclipse. Gray and Moonlight White.
