Several fire crews responded to a chemical leak at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown in the spring on Saturday, according to the Spring Fire Department.
Teams are providing emergency care to dozens of affected people. At least 34 people are being cleaned up, according to the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Officials said those affected had minor skin irritation and inhalation. Some people were taken to local hospitals.
HCFMO hazmat is on scene to identify the cause of the incident and verify the chemicals involved. The officials will continue to air and water.
Authorities have asked residents to avoid the area.
