At least two people were killed and several others wounded after a likely tornado that landed on Saturday night in El Reno, a suburb of Oklahoma City. A motel was demolished during the storm, officials said. A trailer park, a car dealership and several other businesses also suffered significant damage.
Mayor of El Reno, Matt White, said at a press conference that the alleged tornado had virtually razed the second floor of the American Budget Value Inn.
He added that officials still did not know how many people were staying at the motel when the tornado struck, but he said, "We are trying to reduce those numbers now."

Another resident, Tweety Garrison, told AP that the mobile home next to her had "rocked and landed on her roof" during the storm.
White said that a search and rescue operation was underway at the trailer park and in other affected areas.
"We are all on the bridge," said the mayor, describing the damage caused by the storm as "very traumatic".
"Pray for our community," White said, according to the New York Times. "We have gone through a lot of things here lately."
