AT & T will present GeForce NOW over 5G on an Android phone this weekend – Droid Life

At present, NVIDIA cards GeForce NOW is playable on a handful of devices (Mac and Windows computers, SHIELD TV), none of which is an Android phone. However, as announced earlier this week, AT & T will feature the streaming game service running on a 5G network on an Android device.

And the pleasure of 5G does not stop there. Visitors to the Thomas & Mack Center from July 13 to 14 will be able to experience 5G. They will be able to play the latest PC games almost in real time on a 5G smartphone with a technological demo of the GeForce NOW cloud game service on Android or experience the complete download of a movie in seconds.

Why is this a big deal? This means that GeForce NOW will probably be launched for Android, of course!

When and if this happens, owners of Android phones could access AAA game titles on the move via a very, very good data connection (or at home with WiFi), the same games that you can play on game consoles and computer platforms. For the players, this could be great.

We will not be in Las Vegas to watch the demonstration ourselves, but we'll see how it goes. And if GeForce NOW is announced for Android phones, you better believe we'll let you know.
