Trae Young was back at Madison Square Garden, but New York Knicks fans around the world can catch their breath because he wasn’t there to bow on the pitch.
The Atlanta Hawks star showed up at the Garden as a special guest for Friday’s WWE episode “Smackdown.”
His strained relationship with Knicks fans was a popular scenario during the 2021 NBA Playoffs.
Although this is the offseason, “Ice Trae” couldn’t miss an opportunity to solidify his status as New York’s top basketball villain.

This is not Young’s first interaction with the wrestling organization. Earlier this year, he announced that a pay-per-view event would take place on January 1, 2022 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
The event doesn’t have a name, but Young jokingly made a suggestion:
“I don’t know about you, but I think New Years Trae would be a good name for the event, and I can’t think of a better way to bring 2022 than with the WWE Universe.”
Young’s appearance follows the release of NBA 2K22. He did not hesitate to express his dissatisfaction with his ranking in the video game.
The All-Star playmaker agreed to a maximum five-year extension for designated rookies worth up to $ 207 million last month.
