YFN Lucci, real name Rayshawn Bennett, is currently being held in Fulton County Jail, police said. Atlanta Police said Tuesday he was wanted for murder, aggravated assault, involvement in street gang activity and possession of a gun while committing a felony.

“The presumption of innocence is a fundamental constitutional right of every citizen. Beyond that, we have no further comment at the moment,” his lawyer Thomas Reynolds said in a statement to CNN on Wednesday.

“Our review of the initial evidence made available to us indicates that there is no basis for criminal charges against Rayshawn Bennett,” said Drew Findling, another lawyer for YFN Lucci. “We will continue our own investigation on his behalf.”

Attempts to reach his record label failed.

Officers responding to calls from a shot dead person around 5:20 p.m. on December 10, found James Adams, 28, lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his face, the police incident report said. Adams was taken to the hospital where he died.

Shortly after, a second victim, Kevin Wright, 32, arrived at an area fire station in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the abdomen, the report said. Homicide investigators determined that the two shootings were likely related.

Three suspects were named in the investigation, including YFN Lucci, 29. The other two suspects were arrested, police said.

YFN Lucci is an Atlanta native who is known for his 2017 hit “Everyday We Lit” and “Wet (She got That …).”
