Aubrey Plaza has sacrificed the "Virgin" Finn Wolfhard at the Spirit in L.A.

Aubrey Plaza welcomed the Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles today, succeeding other comedians Nick Kroll and John Mulaney, who did a job opening the show in the last two years.

Plaza quickly affixed her mark on the evening by opening the way with a pre-recorded track in which she and a group of iconic witches, including Christina Ricci, Marisa Tomei, Marcia Gay Harden and Sharon Stone gathered to sacrifice a virgin.

The virgin in question? It would be Finn Wolfhard, adorable child star Strange things. Things get pretty weird in the end, but we would not have done otherwise. Go ahead, have fun and look below to see his monologue and a list of the Independent Spirit Award winners.
