Audi RS7 is rendered with the new Avant RS6 style

The grim looks of the Audi RS6 Avant 2020 are striking. The massive grille flanked by no less important aspirants, concealed under thin slot headlamps, is a threatening look and we would not want it to fill our mirror. Francesco D'Amore, the exterior designer of the Audi RS6 Avant, called the new RS6 Avant "Dark Vader". While it was referring to the evolution of the RS6 compared to the standard version, it also describes its appearance. The sinister appearance of the RS6 Avant earned Gabe Florido, CEO and founder of CarLifestyle.com, take the style of the Avant and apply it to the larger Audi RS7.

The Audi RS7 carries remarkably well the angular style. The front has broad air, ready to engulf the slow motion of the unsuspecting Autobahn. The clear color of the RS7 in rendering makes the front-end design much more angular than the dark-colored Front RS6 we've seen so far, but it does not look bad in appearance. The RS7 rendering features subtle design lines on the side, as well as the same side skirts and wild looking wheels.

The rendering comes as Audi prepares to launch many early RS models before the end of the year and that the RS7 would be one of those first. It's a great substitute for those who want the look of the RS6 Avant with a saloon car body, because the likelihood of an RS6 sedan is slim. If Audi is preparing a brand new RS7 with its RS6 Avant look, the above is our best look for Audi's next RS7.

If the RS7 returns to the look of the RS6 Avant, it will likely use the Avant's turbocharged, 4.0-liter Hybrid V8 hybrid hybrid engine producing 591 horsepower (441 kW) and 800 Newton-meters of torque. A sprint at 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) puts the wicked wagon in 3.6 seconds.

The RS7 rendering is excellent, giving us insight into how the design is reflected in other Audi models. If the next RS7 is half as good as the rendering, we can not wait to see Audi's upcoming super sedan.
