Neuromancer Writer William Gibson wrote James Cameron's sequel script extraterrestrials years ago, but was never filmed – we had AlienĀ³ instead of. Last year, Dark Horse Comics resurrected the script of a new comic book. This script is now the subject of a new adaptation, this time in the form of an audio drama directed by Audible.

Gibson's Alien III is set after the events of extraterrestrialsand takes up the story of Ripley, Hicks, Newt and what remains of the bishop android as they arrive on the territory of the Union of Progressive Peoples, a nation in the likeness of the Soviet Union. They boarded the soldiers and, as expected, a hugging face clings to one of them, and everyone has to deal with an infestation of Xenomorphs. Gibson's script is not a long-lost secret: it's been circulating on the Internet for years, but an audio drama will do just about anything.

In addition to audio books of the original novelties of the film (including AlienĀ³), the publisher of audio books has published a number of Extraterrestrial Audio dramas linked over the years, often told with complete distribution and sound effects. Alien III will receive the same full treatment and will even include one of the franchise's original cast: Michael Biehn, who played Corporal Hicks in extraterrestrials.

Alien III will be available for download on May 30, and it is currently free to preorder.
