10 revelations from "Whitney's", a new complete and dark documentary

For the second time in less than a year, a new documentary tells the immense peaks and lamentable valleys of Whitney Houston's life. Although this new document, simply titled "Whitney" and directed by Kevin McDonald, is undoubtedly the most comprehensive look at the life of the New Jersey singer.

Whitney Houston chose to cooperate in the production of this two-hour film and with this cooperation came new interviews with several family members and close friends. They sat down to discuss one of the greatest pop voices of all time and posed sharp questions about Houston's disappearance: troubled relationships, addiction, money problems and, ultimately, death of Houston in 2012.

Some of the darkest moments of "Whitney" come from revelations about her childhood, specifically that she would have been molested by her cousin, Dee Dee Warwick, between 7 and 9 years old, when she and her brothers were were left to visit

"We stayed with many different people, four or five different families," said Whitney's brother, Michael, while their mother, singer Cissy Houston (see above), was in tour

. Whitney apparently never told Cissy, and the abuse may have "made him question his badual preference," family members said.

Cissy Houston discusses how Whitney was teased at school for "having fair skin", to the point that other girls would chase her home after school. "But I'll wait for them," said Cissy Houston, saying the girls were all jealous of Whitney.

In the documentary, Whitney's brother mentions that their mother, Cissy, named her only daughter for actress Whitney Blake, who starred in the 60's sitcom "Hazel."
