There have been talks about Mazda possibly offering a Mazda CX-5 with a turbo engine but it looks like if you plan to get that, you will also have to be prepared to pay for it.
Leaked documents had suggested that the 2019 model will come with a 2. 5liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine and now an additional document which seems to support that also adds that the CX-5 with the turbo engine will cost $35,865 with destination.
That is because the turbo engines will only be offered on the high-end trim models which means the Grand Touring Reserve and Signature models.
One thing fans notice was that the documents did not mention the Skyactive-D diesel engine which has already been rated by EPA. Some people think that the turbo engine could just replace the diesel engine since both engines have similar torque with the turbo engine offering more horsepower.
Hopefully, we will get more information soon.
