The Leukemia Foundation is currently on the lookout For more volunteers, attend the Light The Night event of Bendigo, which supports local families affected by blood cancer.
Light The Night is now in its 11th year and involves an evening lantern ceremony, held at 140 locations in Australia, bringing together patients, families, friends, caregivers and health professionals to raise money to improve blood cancer research.
Bill Petch, CEO of the Leukemia Foundation, stated that cancer was one of the most prolific cancers
"In addition to giving the community the chance to come together and walk in solidarity, organizing a Light the Night event is a rewarding way to show your support and help raise funds to ensure In 1945, there are currently more than 60,000 people in Australia suffering from a blood cancer that includes leukemia, myeloma and lymphoma, and every day, 35 other people are diagnosed with blood cancer.
