The Sharks win a prize as Josh Morris moves from Bulldogs

The Canterbury Center Josh Morris is the last big name to leave Belmore as he prepares to sign a two-year contract with Cronulla starting in 2019.

NRL.com understands that Morris will join to the Sharks next season. He recently met with Gold Coast coach Garth Brennan when it became clear that the tightening of the Bulldogs salary cap could cause him to leave the club.

Neither Canterbury nor Cronulla officially confirmed the move on Tuesday night. by Shane Flanagan as an experienced backline option with Edrick Lee, Jesse Ramien (Newcastle) and Ricky Leutele (Toronto Wolfpack) leaving The Shire at the end of the year.

After having arrived from junior club St George Illawarra in 2009, Morris has 208 matches and exactly 100 tries for the Bulldogs, playing a key role in their expenses for the grand finals of 2012 and 2014.

With Morris and his brother Brett both at the end of the contract at the end of 2018, It is unclear where the future of the latter is, even if the Sharks for Josh end their career together.

Josh, who turns 32 in August, will join his former teammate Aaron Woods in Cronulla next year. The Sharks also won the NSW and front-tester last week following Canterbury's pay drama.
