Microsoft announces its cheapest and lightest surface ever

Beware, Apple – Microsoft has just announced its Cheapest and Most Affordable Surface Product to date, the Surface Go. Here's all you need to know about the new product, which really seems to be aiming at # 39; iPad.

Weighing just over 520 g and having a body of 8.3 mm, it's a damn compact 10-inch. Part laptop (if you opt for an optional keyboard) and partial tablet, it is powered by an Intel processor 4415Y 7th generation, offers 4GB / 8GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of storage. It promises up to nine hours of battery life and also has a fanless design, a custom built PixelSense screen and is compatible with the surface pen, with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

There is a personalized and calibrated 3: 2 screen, designed to be easy to look at, ideal for entertainment, drawing, illustration and photo editing. As for ports, it has a Connect surface that allows USB-C, as well as a headphone jack (hurray!) And a MicroSDXC card reader.

If you have noticed a clear lack of USB Type A connector, this is not an error. Although the test of the future is inevitable, it may discourage some people.

The Surface Go was clearly designed with students in mind, with portrait mode able to make the page on the scale of textbooks. Landscape mode can also make pages side by side. And at this price, it is tempting for students in schools and universities. On the one hand, it is more versatile than the latest generation of iPad, especially with the optional keyboard touchpad.

But keep in mind that accessories and extras will cost you, so the price may not be as affordable as it seems. Especially if you opt for one of the beefiest models.
