Round 17 begins with a revitalized Adelaide Crows hosting the Geelong Cats at Adelaide Oval on a Thursday night.
Usually, I could pick the Cats without a second, but the Crows improved recently – they got a Rory Sloane's return for the next five years
Adelaide for me in this one .
GWS and Richmond on Saturday night could prove a very interesting match. The Giants still have significant personnel problems, but they will have the advantage of the field.
Richmond, as you may know, did not win a game outside Victoria all year.
I think it's time for this rule to be broken. Although the Giants have improved, I do not believe that they have the power to break the Richmond defense
Collingwood and West Coast at MCG Sunday are an absolutely crucial match for both teams.
The Pies Last week, Essendon seemed highly threatened, while the Eagles showed that they are still not far from the top four.
This is played at the MCG, so Collingwood will have a significant advantage, and it could be too much for West Coast to overcome.
Oof … difficult. I'm going to tip the pies, but that's close to 50/50 for me
Maybe that's the northerner optimist in me, but I think the Kangaroos are going to win to Etihad on a Sydney side with half of his midfield in the store.
St Kilda, Hawthorn, Melbourne, Essendon and Port Adelaide are my other tips for the week, and if you want a lock of the week, let's do the Dees (risky, I know) to better a non-Bontempelli Bulldogs [19659003]

While the World Cup reaches its last week, the number of Aussie Rules matches that I have watched over the past month is decreasing more and more, already dubious idea that my thoughts reaches maximum levels of stupidity.
But, if you've bothered to read right up here, you obviously have too much time to lose, so here we go.
I do not know who will win Adelaide and Geelong. It seems even cute. I could invent a reason, but I'll just say Geelong.
Carlton is one of the few teams I have watched recently. St Kilda will beat Carlton.
Brisbane is another team I have watched recently. Hawthorn will beat Brisbane, who is not really better than Carlton.
I noticed that the Bulldogs will miss Bontempelli. Essendon to beat Gold Coast
It is time that I remove the comforting idea that Richmond are only good because of all the games playing at MCG. It seems that it might not be the case. Tigers over Giants.
I have a vague idea that the West Coast is not going as well as it was. I am not 100% sure why this is the case, but I will tip Collingwood
Sydney to beat North Melbourne. That seems right to me.
Adelaide Harbor on Fremantle.
