It's been a little over two years since Pokémon Go came out and became a global phenomenon, but Niantic seems to be ready to introduce players to Gen 4 and the Sinnoh region.
] Pokémon Go The Twitter account published a tweet stating how much the team is grateful to have participated in many Pokémon trips and published new works of art commemorating the second anniversary of the popular mobile game. However, the work of art has new Pokémon that are not yet available in the game.
Chimchar, Turtwig and Piplup, the three starters of the Sinnoh region, are all present in the second Pokémon Go's birthday but confirming Gen 4 is on its way soon. Take a look at the picture below.
Niantic has not announced release date for Gen 4 coming to Pokémon Go, but the new layout of the update means that it arrives earlier than later.In the meantime, trainers can (and should) make reservations about these Candy before Gen's release 4. Many Pokémon from past regions like R Hydon and Murkrow get an evolution.
Gen 3, or the Hoenn area, was introduced in Pokémon Go in December 2017 with the release of 50 new Pokémon including beginners from the region, Torchic, Treecko and Mudkip. Niantic would gradually release the rest of the Hoenn Pokémon in the following months. Players of Pokémon Go can expect a similar launch for Gen 4 when the update arrives on the game.
Gen 3 Update for Pokémon Go also implemented the Dynamic Weather feature and a new similar feature could be implemented when Gen 4 is ready. When more information will be available on the upcoming Sinnoh area Pokémon Go we will update this section.
