It's finally here!
After years of rumors and speculation, the revived Toyota Supra is making a dynamic appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. A near-production prototype of the Japanese sports car, dubbed A90, demonstrated on the ascent, hinting at its potential.
From what we can see, the man behind the wheel certainly does not push the showcar to its limits. Even so, we can clearly hear the pleasant exhaust sound of the 3.0-liter inline-six under the hood. Fortunately, the final production version will be much faster cornering, but – hey – it's still only a prototype, is not it?
Unfortunately, Toyota still keeps its camouflage and does not let anyone see the latest forms of the new Supra. Also, the engine under the hood remains a mystery, but we already know a lot about it.

According to a recent report, the new Supra will use a BMW 3.0-liter turbocharged powertrain, delivering 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft to the rear wheels thanks to an automatic transmission with two clutches. If this is not enough power to your liking, a more powerful GRMN version will eventually join the lineup, as confirmed by Chief Engineer Tetsuya Tada.
An entry-level variant with a 2.0-liter turbo at 248 horsepower being on the drawing board. According to unconfirmed details, the revitalized V6 sports car will only need 4.5 seconds to reach 62 mph at a standstill.
We hope that Toyota will finally unveil the Supra before the end of the year and order books are expected to open next year with prices starting at £ 48,000. From here, enjoy the first dynamic appearance of the Supra at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
