Records dropped as Pakistan crushed Zimbabwe by 131 points in the fifth and final ODI in Bulawayo for a full round of shutouts on Sunday, July 22.

Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam centuries that Pakistan struck out 364/4 to set up another discouraging pursuit for Zimbabwe, which responded 233/4 in response. Fakhar Zaman also broke a whole series of international records from one day, including becoming the fastest in history to have reached 1,000 ODI points.
In the last game of the series, Pakistan opted for the stick, taking in the successful formula of the fourth ODI record.
The visitors, who beat Zimbabwe in the first four ODI in a great way, made three changes that allowed Mohammad Nawaz to score some of the action – the only player to play again in this series – while Mohammad Amir and Hbadan Ali have returned to replace Faheem Ashraf, Yasir Shah and Usman Khan.
Liam Roche, Christopher Mpofu and Prince Masvaure came to the side, with Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chisoro and, surprisingly, Tarisai Musakanda omitted.
Pakistan had an unusually calm start with the first limit to fifth, Chris Mpofu hit the bat hard and caused one or two problems to Zaman.
But Zaman soon found his way and became the fastest man in the history of international one day to reach 1,000 races. 18 innings – three quicker innings than Viv Richards, Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Quinton of Kock and Babar Azam, who have already shared the record.
Imam and Zaman found their marks as the sleeves progressed. Pakistan at 127 without loss. Zaman really started going wild but fell to 85 when Liam Roche, the man who got him in the first ODI, found the edge. The opener had scored 455 points since the last time he was fired.
Records plummeted during Zaman's heats. He broke the record for the most races for Pakistan in a two-way ODI series (515 runs from five games averaging 25.70), surpbading the 451 scored by Salman Butt in 2007-08. He also became the first Pakistani drummer to score 500 points in a five-match ODI series.
A fantastic achievement, of course, but many of these races were looted against a Zimbabwe team that did not threaten to win a match this five-game series. Sterner's tests are coming up for the opening match of Pakistan, but this has been a great introduction to ODI cricket.
To top it off, Imam and Zaman have now added 705 points in this series, with four stands over 100. No other couple in history has accomplished that.
The 168-point opening booth was completed, but the second-window partnership between Imam and Azam also proved fruitful, with the pair helping out for centuries each. First, Imam recorded his fourth ODI (third in the series) to continue his successful international career.
In 35th place, Azam broke the chains with a majestic delivery of six Roche bullets and never looked back. In 1965, Iman moved to Wellington Masakadza, before Shoaib Malik fell to Tendai Chatara bowling alike. Mpofu picked up Asif Ali's box office but the damage was already done as Pakistan took the lead again.
In Zimbabwe's response, the first hit of the sleeves was removed from Hamilton Masakadza's blade. Zimbabwe was 59 without a loss after 13 overs before Sarfraz Ahmed made a double change with Hbadan Ali and Mohammad Nawaz. First of all, Tinashe Kamunhukamwe (34 years old) tried to make a delivery from Nawaz but unfortunately sent her directly to Imam of Midwicket, who completed a good dive to end a promising start for Zimbabwe. Then, two balls later, Hbadan shoots a decisive pbad to dismiss Masakadza before pbading it just after the defense of the captain of Zimbabwe

The hosts were 108/2 at the half-way mark but had only recorded 15 points in the previous five overs. Prince Masvaure (39th) and Ryan Murray (47th), however, started, but Hbadan had to settle for a first straight line, but Asif Ali was found in the middle of the race
. Nawaz, who swept Zaman in deep for six hours, but when he tried to play the same shot, the next ball – this time faster and upright – he was knocked down to make the 166/4.
Final ten overs, the required rate was over 18 races a plus as damage limitations became the name of the game. Rather insolent, Sarfraz, the captain and goalkeeper of Pakistan, snapped two overtakes to the death , conceding 15 points without wicket

Pakistan has surpbaded Zimbabwe in this series of tests and expects a tougher challenge when they visit South Africa later this year. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will also visit South Africa in September and October, and will have to bring part A if it wants to cause problems to the hosts.
A positive note for Zimbabwe is that, although none of them has recorded half a century, all of their drummers have made their debut, proving that they have the qualifications needed to succeed at this level.
