Sir Paul McCartney will return where it all began when he performs at the Cavern Club in an exclusive free concert.

The Beatles will perform on stage in the famous Mathew Street Hall in Liverpool on Thursday at 2 pm

Fans will be able to claim free tickets from the box office at the Liverpool Echo Arena starting at 10 am

Paul will play at @cavernliverpool today at 2pm. The space is EXTREMELY limited! The organizers have warned that the # Space is extremely limited and tickets will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to those who show up in person

The Cavern Club is considered to be the birthplace of the Fab Four, who played in their first years.

The cellar bar, which is now on the other side of the road from where the place of origin was, last welcomed Sir Paul in 1999.

The star was in his hometown Wednesday, when he dropped a hint on the concert during a Q & A session at his old school, now Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (Lipa).

He told Pulp en Ontman Jarvis Cocker, who was the host of the event: "We are playing at the Echo Arena in December but the thing is that we have also, tomorrow, a little secret concert somewhere in Liverpool. "

During the session, held in an auditorium named after Sir Paul, he paid tribute to his fellow travelers when he was asked about the best musicians he had worked with.

He said, "Of all the people I worked with, it was the Beatles, it would be John, who was rather cool, and George and Ringo.

"Having worked with John individually, I could see his brilliance before the world."

After taking questions to Lipa students, who was founded by Sir Paul, played a set with his band on stage

Tickets for Thursday's concert are limited to one per person and a photo ID will be required.
