“He’s feeling a little bit better today,” Celtics coach Brad Stevens said.
“He did a little bit of running at 70 percent of his body weight and felt pretty good, which is encouraging coming off of that.
“They [the Celtics’ medical staff] felt pretty good about the diagnosis and didn’t feel like it was a long, long-term thing.
“I feel fortunate with that because obviously hamstrings and muscular injuries at this time of year can be really scary and can keep guys out a while, but it doesn’t sound like that will be the case with Aron.”
Today it’s the first game for the Lakers since the brawl with the Houston Rockets on Sunday – they’ll be without both Brandon Ingram and Rajon Rondo through suspension – while Golden State looks to bounce back from a loss to Denver when it hosts Phoenix.

BOSTON has fallen just short of a comeback win against Orlando, 90-93.
Jonathan Isaac had a career-high 18 points for the Magic while Nikola Vucevic chipped in with 24 points and 12 rebounds as they controlled the contest.
The Celtics got within one point when Kyrie Irving scored with less than 20 seconds to play in the game, but the Magic then nailed two free throws and stopped two attempts from three to tie it up.
Meanwhile Toronto has remained unbeaten after a 127-106 win over Charlotte.
Kyle Lowry had 16 points and 14 badists while Kawhi Leonard scored 22 points in 30 minutes on-court.
Milwaukee held off a valiant New York Knicks side to prevail 124-113. The game was tied at 110 before the Bucks pulled away to also remain unbeaten.
Khris Middleton had 30 points including seven three-pointers while Giannis Antetokounmpo had 31 points and 15 rebounds.
