Kim Kardashian evacuates home as wildfire rips through Calabasas

Kim Kardashian was given one hour to evacuate her home after a wildfire ripped through her neighbourhood.

The 38-year-old landed via private jet to discover that the Woolsey Fire she had been filming from her plane was spreading near her family home in Hidden Hills, Calabasas.

Kim took a picture of the flames which were spreading throughout Calabasas and wrote on her Instagram story: ‘Pray for Calabasas. Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up & evacuate our home. I pray everyone is safe.’

She later filmed fire engines arriving in the neighbourhood, saying: ‘Fire fighters are arriving. Thank you for all you do for us!’

Kim’s sister Kourtney also chose to evacuate, sharing a photo of her car loaded with luggage.

She wrote: ‘I pray that everyone is kept safe and protected from these fires.’

The 39-year-old later said she was raiding sister Kendall Jenner’s pantry – the model was in New York walking in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Khloe also badured fans that she was safe, tweeting: ‘I am with Rob, Dream and True and I am up keeping watch! Saying prayers and thanking all of the brave firefighters who risk their lives for us.’

While Kim shared scary images of the fire on her Instagram story, it seems she and her family stayed safe, as she later shared a picture to Instagram with her three children North, Saint and Chicago.

On Thursday night, the City of Calabasas Twitter account warned residents that the Woolsey Fire had ‘grown to over 2,000 actres with 0% containment’.

Areas north of the 101 freeway from Valley Circle to Lindera Canyon were under mandatory evacuation orders.

There was also a wildfire in Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks – the area which is grieving after the mbad shooting at a bar which left 13 people dead, including Tamera Mowry’s niece.

Alyssa Milano was forced to evacuate due to this fire, tweeting: ‘I just had to evacuate my home from the fires. I took my kids, dogs, computer and my Doc Marten boots.’
