A quick look inside my purse reveals many tight receipts, several lipsticks, a purse, keys, a hair brush and a packet of tissues. And that's not all.
I would like to think that I am in the majority when it comes to carrying day-to-day this amount of useless stick.
But apparently, it would not work if I were royal – mainly Kate Middleton.
The Duchess of Cambridge carries only four items in her purse, according to Marcia Moody, author of Kate: a biography.
The articles are all incredibly practical – and explain how she always looks so cool.
The first is a compact mirror, presumably to check that her makeup is perfect and that she has no food in her teeth.
Kate also wears a faithful lip balm as well as a sheet of blotting paper – usually used to remove excess oil or sweat from the face.
The last element is a handkerchief. That's right, no phone, no wallet, no key, nothing.
