I think I speak for everyone when I say that ultimately all our collective dreams have come true: Hellboy – as described by David Harbor of Strange things fame – is thicc now.
Harbor will embody the great red bastard who has the key to the apocalypse in his right hand in a remake made by Neil Marshall, completely separated from the previous pair of films made by Guillermo del Toro and starring Ron Perlman.
The first look at our Hellboy, much less cartoonistic, comes from Empire, with this picture of a Hellboy quite gnarled at speed:
Until now, we had only one dimly lit Harbor photo as a resting Hellboy, which did not tell exactly how Hellboy was.
Marshall told Empire that this incarnation of Hellboy would be a lot darker and a lot bloodier, coming closer to horror than the kind of action-fantasy of previous movies.
As long as Hellboy is thicc, I'm happy.
