Residents lying on the pbadage of another Queensland bush fire have been ordered to follow their survival plans or to prepare to leave their home south of Rockhampton.
The Queensland fire and emergency services reported that the fire had broken through the town of Mount Larcom.
The light burns south-east along Gladstone Mount Larcom Road and on both sides of Bruce Road towards Yarwun.
Crews work to contain the fire.
Residents are informed that they must be prepared to follow their survival plans or leave, as the situation could worsen rapidly.
Those who have already left Mount Larcom can not return yet because the Bruce Highway remains closed.
Fire crews were watching the fire at Ambrose, west of Gladstone, as conditions gradually deteriorated throughout Wednesday and were heading toward Mount Larcom. The inhabitants were then ordered to leave.
Temperatures have exceeded 40 degrees and wind gusts have exceeded 50 km / h.
Nearly 140 fires are under way in the state, including a huge fire in the Deepwater region between Gladstone and Bundaberg that has caused the escape of 1,500 people.
More than 8,000 people were invited to evacuate Gracemere to Rockhampton.
