As a reward for maintaining their Xbox Live Gold membership, members get two free games with Gold per month to download for a limited time on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. The titles range from the oldest AAA blockbusters and hits independent cults with underrated gems and – very rarely – to a whole new version.
The two free Xbox 360 games are backwards compatible with Xbox One, which means that owners of the current Microsoft console can now enjoy four free games per month.
You can keep the games even if you cancel your Xbox Live Gold subscription after you download them. Just select the "Gold" tab on your Xbox One or Xbox 360. You can also use the Xbox website.
Even if you have not yet migrated to an Xbox One, you can still download these games for free as long as you have an Xbox Live Gold account. Simply log in to the Xbox website, go to the title list page and enjoy the offer. The game will then appear in the "Ready to Install" list of the console if you buy an Xbox One in the future.
Below is the free Games with Xbox Live with gold of December 2018, with links to the list of each game on the Xbox website. And do not forget to check our Xbox offers page for discounted console prices.
