Kawana Link Road is closed in both directions between Caloundra Road and Creekside Boulevard due to fires.
Deviations are in place and the police are urging residents to avoid the area if possible over the next few hours.
UPDATE 3:20 AM: Police revoked an emergency statement regarding a large burning grbad fire in the Little Mountain area.
The fire is no longer a threat to the homes and the declaration under the law on the protection of public security was revoked at 2:48.
Police would like to thank the residents for their patience as they strove to resolve the situation safely.
EARLIER: POLICE made an emergency statement regarding a large burning grbad fire in the Little Mountain area.
A statement was made at approximately 12:09 pm under the Public Safety and Preservation Act.
It encompbades the boundaries of Kawana Link Road to the west, Caloundra Road to the south, Parklands Boulevard to the east and Meridan Way to the north.
The police are asking people in this area to wait for emergency services advice about evacuation.
The Queensland Police Service will provide more information on the Little Mountain PSP when it becomes available.
Fire and emergency teams in Queensland started fighting a wildfire near Caloundra Road in Caloundra after it broke up around 8 pm
As the teams worked to contain the fire, the smoke affected the area.
Residents are urged to close windows and doors and keep their medications nearby if they are suffering from a respiratory ailment.
People should immediately call the Triple Zero (000) if they believe their property is at risk.

Another update published at midnight indicates that the fire has spread to a bush fire now burning on the north side of Caloundra Road, west of Kawana Way Link Road, east of Honeyfarm Road. , in Caloundra.
Local residents will be affected by the smoke, which will reduce the visibility and quality of the air.
Teams will use machines to build containment lines overnight to contain the fire.
