Brendan and Alex Fevola announced the safe arrival of their granddaughter.
The former AFL star, Brendan, has called for his radio show in Melbourne The show Fifi, Fev and Byron this morning to share the news.
Alex was scheduled for a caesarean section at 8 am and Fevola made the phone call while the new girl was weighed.
Fevola, clearly moved, describes her as a "cute little thing" with "huge hair".
"She looks a bit like me … I would have liked that she had Alex's genes … She's a little fat-cheeked mini-me."
But things got a little worse when his colleague Fifi Box questioned him about the baby's name.
Seeming reluctant to share her name, Brendan announced that she had dubbed her "Brenda Fevola … no name."
What Fifi had the laughter, saying that it was a "sting".
"Ah! Good material! She said laughing.
"I knew you said that … that's why I did not want to tell you," says Brendan.
Co-host Byron Cooke intervened to tell Fifi that "it could be the name … do not laugh in case it's the name".
At that time, Fifi started pedaling replying, "I mean … it's a beautiful name … Brenda … I love Brenda … Brendan and Brenda Fevola.
To which Brendan sarcastically replied, "Thanks Fi … it's an incredible reaction."
To clarify, Fifi asked, "So, she's named after you?" And Brendan replied, "Yeah, if it was a boy, it was Brendan Jr."
After Brendan left the conference call, Matt Preston, acting facilitator, tried to clarify things by describing them as a "pretty" name.
Fifi said "I like the name [Brenda] … It's a beautiful name … I do not necessarily believe it.
"You can not just say" it's a ridiculous name ", that's what you told him," Matt said.
"Matt, I've been working with this man for three years … every day is a difficult task … it's all a joke or a joke," she said.
"But maybe it's the boy who shouted to the wolf … and this time he's serious," Byron said.

Brendan, 37, is to marry Alex, 41, after celebrating his bucks party in Bali earlier this year. They married in 2005.
