A man died after hitting his bicycle against a barrier at Crafers West this morning.

Police and emergency services were called on Mount Barker Rd, just after the turn for Eagle On The Hill from the highway, about 9:45 am Sunday.

Paramedics tried to revive Woodcroft, a 46-year-old man, but died on the spot. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.

Mount Barker Road is currently closed for westbound traffic while Major Accident Investigators are reviewing the site.
