Cronulla named John Morris acting coach of the NRL, along with Jim Dymock to remain badistant.
Morris and Dymock were both named acting coaches when Shane Flanagan was drastically dropped by the NRL for dealing with the club while she was suspended in 2014.
"The club is delighted to be able to give John the opportunity to play the role of Interim Head Coach and has every confidence in his ability to lead our football program for the 2019 season," said Thursday. General Manager, Barry Russell.

Morris, who played 300 NRL games before retiring in 2014, graduated as a coach before becoming Sharks Academy's development coach in 2015 and coaching Cronulla. Holden Cup in 2016.
During his career, he played for four clubs, including the Knights, Eels and Wests Tigers, before playing five seasons and 105 games for the Sharks.
Morris guided the Sharks team to New York in 2017 for his first season as a full time coach.
