An armed man tasered by cops in Sydney

A dramatic sequence shows the moment when an armed man was shot with a stun gun outside a police station in west Sydney this morning.

In the images obtained by the Nine Network, the man can be seen surrounded by officers in front of the Granville police station – and he seems to be carrying a knife.

He shows the man wearing a blue hoodie that advances towards a policeman.

Although the police told him repeatedly to drop an object in his hands, the man refuses and we can see officers firing a stun gun.

After being hit, a group of police officers can be seen grabbing the object from the arms of the man and dragging him to the police station.

The man will be taken to the Westmead Hospital for evaluation.
