Perhaps their breakup isn’t as amicable as fans thought.
Ariana Grande shaded Pete Davidson on Twitter Thursday night after his promo for this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” with Jonah Hill aired online. In the promo, Davidson poked fun at his failed engagement to the “God Is a Woman” singer by proposing to musical guest Maggie Rogers.
“Hey Maggie, I’m Pete. You wanna get married?” Davidson says in the clip as this weekend’s host, Hill, cringed.
Rogers, 24, declines and Davidson responds by saying he’s “0-3,” poking fun at his failed relationships, which includes Cazzie David.
“For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh,” Grande wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “thank u, next.”
Grande, 25, also retweeted a fan’s tweet that read, “tag yourself i’m maggie.”
Davidson used his failed relationship with the pop star as comedy fodder during an event he hosted with Judd Apatow, in which he joked he’d been busy covering up tattoos. Grande later revealed that she, too, was having her tattoos altered.
