The first trailer of the original DC Universe series Titans – a live action on Teen Titans – has arrived and this is certainly not what you expected. Without the constraints of network television, DC sinks into this show
. As you can see in the trailer below, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) does not have the same story of killing bad guys as his mentor Bruce Wayne. In the midst of crushing skulls and his slap necks, he offers a simple "F *** Batman" when he is told that the Dark Knight would treat things differently.
Like the trailer shows, Dick grew up to become a police officer. As an adult, he will become the leader of the Titans, which should be interesting since he will enforce the laws in two very different ways.
The trailer also looks at the rest of the Titans, including Raven (Teagan Croft), Beast Boy (Ryan Potter) and Starfire (Anna Diop). And for those who care about costume photos that show Beast Boy without green skin, which you can see below, the trailer clearly shows that his skin certainly has the same pigmentation that fans are entitled to. 39, wait.
Titans represents a number of things for the future of DC on television. For one, the graphic violence exposed in the trailer is far from the sanitized fights for television on The CW. Beyond that, it shows that DC Entertainment is committed to bringing out its new streaming service.
Sending to a group of journalists during a demo DC Universe, DC Entertainment Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee said that the first season of Titans began with the service. From there, the goal is to start a new episode of original content – Young Justice: Outsiders, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing etc. – Every week, 52 weeks a year.
A launch date has not yet been announced for the DC Universe streaming service. However, it should be launched in the fall. In the meantime, watch this trailer a few dozen more times and get ready to watch the Titans smash skulls.
